English Language Management Tmi - Graham Burns

English Language Management Tmi is owned and operated by Graham Burns, a native English language teacher and intercultural communications trainer from the UK. "I can offer English language teaching and intercultural communications training for individuals or groups whether it be for business, studies or pleasure," says Burns, "either face-to-face or on-line. Burns has familiarised himself with the services of the Jyväskylä Regional Development Company Jykes Ltd., its international services and Luotsi.

"When I decided to become an entrepreneur the first and most daunting hurdle I had to face was to build a credible business plan. I had never done anything like that before and I was unsure of where to begin and indeed, what information I needed to include. The kind people at Luotsi helped me superbly." Burns commends. "The step-by-step guide they use to help new or would-be entrepreneurs through the process of constructing a business plan was great. Added to that is the high quality advice and initial local contacts that are essential when one is just starting out on one's own." he continues.

Burns is happy that Jykes has also helped him with his marketing needs. "Of course I have a website but I had identified a gap in my marketing strategy. That gap was filled by publishing details of my company's offering on Jykes's Human Technology website and in their various hardcopy publications. Thank you, Jykes, I could not have gotten this far without you." Burns praises.

Although he lives in Jyväskylä, Burns has travelled widely around Finland providing training for a wide selection of Finnish industries and professions in a great many different locations from Helsinki to Kittilä, from Turku to Joensuu. "I don't mind travelling but it's not always necessary. For example, assignment feedback can easily be given on-line. And what better way of training for international video conferences can there be if not on-line? I would refer anyone interested in arranging such training to my web site, www.englishmanagement.fi for further information about the areas of business in which I have worked over the past few years and the full range of services I offer." Burns concludes.
