Central Finland welcomes drivers and rally fans
Central Finland hosts WRC rally event for the 60th time. Neste Oil Rally Finland 2010 gathers rally fans from all over the world to see the skills of Sebastien Loeb, Mikko Hirvonen, Peter Sohlberg and other top class drivers. Jyväskylä Regional Development Company Jykes Ltd is a proud sponsor of Neste Oil Rally Finland.
The event starts on Thursday 29th with a shake down in Muurame and the first stage in Laajavuori, Jyväskylä. Winner of the rally will be crowned on Saturday 31st at the Rally HQ Jyväskylä Paviljonki.
Neste Oil Rally Finland is considered to be the leading rally in the world. Spectators and drivers enjoy the good arrangements, fast gravel roads and big jumps. Besides racing, the event offers a variety of entertainment and experiences: exhibitions, gigs, karting racing and activities for children. Organizers are expecting over 300 000 visits at the event.
The event ends in a massive fireworks display after the price giving ceremony. Tens of thousands of fireworks, manufactured from eco-friendly raw materials, are synchronized with music for a period of 32 minutes. Shot from Lake Jyväsjärvi, barrages of fireworks are sure to light the sky.

A new association has been founded around the Sauna from Finland concept developed in Jyväskylä. Its aim is to promote Finnish sauna culture, support the development of services and launch new business activity.

During this summer sauna has been created as an attraction factor for the Jyväskylä region. The Sauna from Finland concept started in May and has already connected many businesses interested in using the sauna theme.
New WORK WITH US information service for foreign jobseekers

A new "Work with us" information service has been launched on the Human Technology web-site in Central Finland. The service is designed for employment-based immigrants.
Sauna from Finland at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival 21–27 June 2009
The "Sauna from Finland" concept, co-ordinated by the Jyväskylä Regional Development Company Jykes Ltd, will be presented at the Secret Sauna Society event of the Cannes Lions 2009 Festival from 24 to 26 June.
A traditional Finnish sauna will be built on the Mediterranean shore, and for three days it will serve as a showpiece and a meeting point for international visitors. Visitors can familiarize themselves with the tradition of genuine Finnish sauna and write their own experiences and ideas in a guestbook.
