Euro Challenge - European Support System for International Co-operation of SMEs
Aim: To analyze and develop support models in partner countries to increase the sustainability of SME- partnerships and SME co-operations. Aim is to encourage SMEs for further international development and to increase their competitiveness through effective interregional partnerships.
Duration: 34 months

COMMIN - Promoting Spatial Development by Creating COMmon MINdscapes
Aim: To organise further education to the authorities and experts in the field of spatial planning. The themes of education include spatial planning and area development in wide perspective.
Duration: 33 months

Strong and internationalised Central Finland 2007 -project
Aim: To increase the degree of internationalisation of companies in Central Finland. Aim is to develop and improve the services, international project activities and international communication and marketing in Central Finland. Objective is to unify and coordinate the activities of local actors supporting internationalisation.
Duration: 1 year

Environmental Steps -project
Aim: To increase SME´s environmental awareness and performance through training. This training includes for example environmental legislation and implementation of environmental management systems. An environmental diploma for small companies is created within the project.

Fit for Europe
Aim: To develop international cooperation of SMEs by in organising sector specific business matchmaking events. The business matchmakings are pre-organised face-to-face meetings, to which the SMEs are trained in advance by the regional development companies involved in the project.

Aim: To transfer the competence of training institutions and students for the utilization in SMEs.

Training of Russian managers
Aim: To train young Russian managers in business activities.

A networking project for metal industry
Aim: Promotion of networking between subcontractors and partners by developing competence, co-operation and infrastructure. To encourage the re-use of existing industrial premises and further development of a metal industry business cluster in Jyväskylä.

Aim: Survey companies' needs with regard to developing their activities and eradicating bottlenecks.

Aim: Experienced business managers support SMEs in a locality important to them.

Ni Hao China -project
Aim: To create a functional link between Central Finland and China. This link will help finnish companies to reach Chinese markets, customers and supplliers.

Aim: Supporting SMEs in solving market access problems and helping them to improve their capabilities in international trade.

Envimark
Aim: To support environmental companies and experts in developing a co-operation network. The purpose of the project is to gather Central Finnish environmental-sector enterprises in a database, support registered companies in networking with each other, market the companies' expertise, products and services in Finland and abroad and support and train the enterprises in participating in joint projects and tenders.

QualityStepIT
Aim: Improvement of the competitiveness of companies in the graphic and communications industry by creating quality systems for the firms. Making company-specific projects to develop each firm's processes from the viewpoint of the criteria for ISO-9000 standards and the Finnish quality award.

Aim: To improve the competitiveness of the graphic and communication branch, to improve cooperation between companies and other cooperation partners and to improve the education channels of the branch.

Developing EXcellence -DEX. Excellence Centre's network for sustainable development in the Baltic Sea Region
Aim: To establish a network of excellence centres focused on co-operation of authorities responsible for local and regional economic and spatial development. Project aims to fostering cross-border and translational co-operation project between regions, cities and local authorities, and to building capacity of the North-West Russian regions to fully participate in opportunities created by EU and new programme period 2007-2013. Duration: 21 months
